Juanita McCracken Alexander, 95, died August 24, 2016, in Friendswood, Texas surrounded by family.   Juanita was born in Kokomo, Indiana to George and Maude McCracken July 11, 1921, the youngest of 10 children.  She was a long-time resident of Crawfordsville, Indiana and retired with her husband to Bradenton, Florida, and The Woodlands, Texas.

Juanita was a member of the Crawfordsville Art League, Tri Kappa Sorority and the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was an award-winning seamstress, an avid tennis player, a world traveler and a long-time volunteer at the Well Baby Clinic.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Stephen John “Jack” Alexander and son-in-law David Patterson.  Juanita is survived by three daughters: Nancy Alexander of Carmel, Indiana, Sue [Johnny] Alexander of Pearland, Texas and Anne Patterson of Spring, Texas; grandchildren Stephanie [Joshua] Ruwet, Catherine [Brad] Hepler, Scott Alexander, Matt [Crystal] Alexander, Michael [Zijing] Patterson and Sarah Patterson; great-grandchildren Stella, Lilly, Ruby Cate and Max Ruwet, Ella Hepler and niece Beverly Jean Munsell of Baton Rouge, Lousiana.
