Anna Belia Balli De Leon Llosa passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with diabetes and leukemia.  Anna Belia was born in 1938 near Brownsville, Texas, the eldest daughter, of 13 children, to Ramon De Leon and Anna Balli De Leon.

Anna Belia came to Houston in 1963 to pursue a career in nursing.  She completed her vocational license at J.T. Canales Vocational Nursing School and graduated as “Nurse of the Year”.  She spent close to 40 years as a licensed vocational nurse working in Houston hospitals.  Her passion for caring for the sick shone through her work and her life, as a loving mother/grandmother, good wife, and adored sister and aunt.   She will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

Anna is survived by her husband, Luis Eduardo Llosa; daughter, Marissa Sipocz; and grandchildren, Isabel and Peter Sipocz.  She is also survived by her sisters:  Elida De Leon, Spring, Texas; Dolores Vargas, Hondo, Texas; Rosalinda Gonzales, Spring, Texas; San Juana De Leon, Davenport, Iowa; Dalia Solis, Davenport, Iowa; Marialena Marrero, Rock Island, Illinois; Ida Cortez, San Antonio, Texas; and by her brothers, Ricardo De Leon, Alice, Texas; Noe De Leon, Pasadena, Texas and Joel De Leon, Illinois City, Illinois.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm., Saturday, September 3, at Niday – Fairmont Funeral Home in Pasadena, where a Rosary will also be prayed.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00am., Saturday, October 15, at San Pedro Catholic Church, Brownsville, Texas.  She will be laid to her final rest at Sabas-Cavazos Cemetery in San Pedro, Texas.
