Frank Gary Webb


Frank Gary Webb, age 92, passed away May 10, 2017 in Pasadena, TX.  Gary was born in Amarillo, TX on August 2, 1924.  He graduated from Amarillo High School, Class of 1942.  He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 475th Anti Aircraft Artillery (AAA) Battery C in the Automatic Weapons Battalion as a Private First Class and volunteered for the Naval Reserve upon returning from the war.  On August 18, 1944, Gary was awarded the Soldier’s Medal, Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.

Gary was employed for 25 years as a salesman for National Steel Corp. Upon retirement, he spent 20 years as a field technician for Coastal Flow Measurement.  Gary’s work ethic kept him busy even in retirement.  Gary was a member of First Baptist Church-Pasadena where he was involved in Joy Singers Choir, Missions @ Night, and participated in many mission trips around the country.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Frances Mayo Webb, parents Frank L. and Janie Bess Webb, sisters Betty Hughes and Clydie Webb.  He is survived by his two daughters Kaelynne McGill and husband Jim, and Carol Carter, five grandchildren Clay Carlton, Helen Carlton, Brian Carlton and wife Jessica, Amanda Khanga and husband Melvin, Justin Carter and wife Lana, and Sarah Kellam and husband Adam.  He was also Paw Paw to eight great-grandchildren, Cooper and Chesney Carlton, John and Caroline Carlton, Reese and Blayke Carter, and Adin and Gray Kellam.

Gary will be missed by extended family and friends who loved and called him Paw Paw.

A visitation will be held at Niday- Fairmont Funeral Home in Pasadena, Tuesday, May 16, from 6:00-8:00 pm. A Funeral service will also be at the funeral home, Wednesday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be Thursday, May 18, at 10:00am., at the Houston National Cemetery.
