Dale Corder

Dale lost his courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the age of 69 years.  He was born in Houston to H. B. and Grace Corder on January 13, 1940.  Dale was the owner of D. F. Corder Drywall in Pearland, and was a parishioner of Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood.  He attended Clear Creek High School in League City and served in the U. S. Army from 1959 to 1962, at which time he met and married his wife of 47 years.

Dale is survived by his wife, Patricia Aydelott Corder;  two sons, Dale A. Corder of Pearland, and Keith Corder and wife Debbie, of Santa Fe, five grandchildren, five sisters, three brothers, and numerous, much loved, nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by many wonderful and caring friends.  Dale will be greatly missed for his ability to just make a person laugh.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the compassionate and loving care given to our loved one from Odyssey Health Care of Houston.  Our special thanks to Joan Dallas, RN, for her care and kindness to Dale and the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Vigil being offered at 7:00 PM, at Niday Funeral Home.  A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, November 13, 2009, at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Drive, Friendswood.  Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
