James Anthony Friery

James Anthony Friery Sr., lovingly known to all family and friends as “Jimbo” was born in Madisonville, TX April 11, 1931 and passed away August 4, 2017 at St. Johns Hospital in Nassau Bay, TX.  Jimbo is survived by a large family, including his children; James Anthony Friery Jr., Joni Keith, Randy Friery, Ricky Friery Sr. & wife Leigh, Connie Smith, Rodney Friery & wife Stacy; 14 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren.

Jimbo began his life long career in the steel industry, working at Armco Steel for 28 years.  After retirement, Jimbo began to build up the true apple of his eye, Bendco Inc. and it has been a successful, family run, steel bending & coiling company since 1983.   Anyone who knew Jimbo knows his love for the company and the business matters involved.  He never went anywhere without his magazines, newspapers, post-it notes & Bendco pens.

Jimbo was a well-known fixture in the Pasadena and Clear Lake area.  To him, no one was a stranger and left a mark on everyone he met.  He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
