Vickie Renee (Moon) Holden


Vickie Renee (Moon) Holden, 63, passed away August 4, 2017 in her home surrounded by family.  She fought hard but after two years the cancer consumed her body and the battle was over.

Vickie was born April 5, 1954 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to V.W. and Ouida Moon.  She grew up in Bay, Arkansas where she would later meet her husband Stanley.  They celebrated 44 years of marriage just a few weeks before she passed.  Together they had two daughters Tonya and Keri.  Later in life they acquired two other daughters Debi Anderson and Tina Mitschke.  Vickie was a homemaker and loved to crochet, sew, hand craft jewelry and work in her flower beds.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, two sisters Jeanette Marby and Rochelle Norman and six brothers Bill Moon, James Moon, Tom Moon, Charlie Moon, Larry Moon, and Paul Moon.

She is survived by her husband Stanley Holden of the home, daughters Tonya Gonzalez of Deer Park, TX and Keri Webb (husband Randy) of Pearland, TX.  She had four grandsons Zac Gonzalez, Zane Gonzalez, Jayden Webb and Ian Webb and one granddaughter Skylar Gonzalez.  She also had three step grandchildren Jared Webb, Hannah Webb and Carlos Rivas.  Her surviving siblings are brothers Sonny Moon, Jackie Moon and Craig Moon and one sister Lou Anne Moon all of Bay, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service honoring Vickie will be held at 10:00am., Saturday August 12, at First Church of Pearland 1850 Broadway Pearland, Texas 77581. Officiating her service will be her son in law Randy Webb.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Deke Slayton Cancer Facility in Webster, Texas for their kindness and compassion while caring for her.  They always treated her like family.
