Lola Hagan gained her wings Saturday, November 25, 2017, after her heroic battle with cancer.

Lola was born January 31, 1960 to Jim and Beth Hagan in Houston, Texas.  She grew up in Jacinto City where she loved to ride horses.  Barrel racing was the perfect outlet for her passion and competitive nature and she loved every minute of it.

In 1984 she found a new passion and started her family, she then devoted her life to her girls, Danielle and Nikki.  Barrel racer to Softball Mom! She just had a different kind of dirt on her shoes now. Seeing her girls grow into women and starting their own lives, Lola couldn’t have been more proud.

Champion barrel racer to steadfast softball mom, then what?  She met the next person she would be devoted to and love with all her heart.  Lola and James lived, laughed and loved in League City where they were passionate not only about each other but their time with family and friends.

Lola enjoyed her free time with James and it was filled with an abundance of adventure, from traveling to working on home improvement projects together.  Lola then discovered she had an exceptional green thumb and she enjoyed her time in the garden followed by canning her harvest with friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James “Jimmy” Hagan, mother, Betha “MiMi” Hagan and brother, James Cliffton Hagan.

Survived by her husband, James Johnson, daughters, Danielle Morace and Nikki Morace and son-in-law Austin Mersiovsky.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel.  The funeral will also be at this location at 2:00pm on Friday, December 1, 2017. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.  Reception immediately after at the American Legion Post 554 at 1650 Highway 3 S., League City, TX 77573.
