Jeff Vavrecka

Jeffrey Lynn Vavrecka, 57, passed away in the early morning on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018. Jeff was a graduate of Pearland High School and was a diesel mechanic for Central Freight Lines for approximately 40 years.

Jeff loved being outdoors, whether it was playing with his dogs, working the yard, checking on the baby birds or sitting by the fire at night.  He was always eager to help friends and family fix what needed fixing, or build what needed building. Always a wealth of knowledge and ability available and eager to share, which led to the popular saying among his East Texas friends and relatives, “We need Jeff here” or “Ask Jeff, he would know”.

He was a loving and caring father, son and brother and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jeff is preceded in death by his brother Steve Vavrecka. Jeff is survived by his son Chase; parents Charles and Virginia Vavrecka; sister Cindy Huber and husband Dean; nieces and nephews:  Stephen Vavrecka and wife Deshana, Jared Vavrecka and wife Sheena, Amber Stephens and husband Colby, Katie Childress and husband Marshall and Shawn Huber; and host of other relatives and friends; and his beloved pets.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, April 13, and the service celebrating Jeff’s life will be at 11:00am Saturday, April 14, both held at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
