William Keith Clayton Hendon, Sr., 63, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, peacefully in his sleep, after many years of struggling with heart issues.

Keith was born November 25, 1954 in Texas City, Texas to Bill and Jane (Norton) Hendon. He grew up loving the outdoors and had a very passionate love of animals. He enjoyed being in the country, from hunting and fishing, to trail rides. If there was a piece of land that he could plant a flower in, he was sure to make a flower bed there. There were many traits that people knew him by. His deep voice was one that captured everyone’s attention. The other was his stubborn head of hair that almost had its own personality. Keith never met anyone that he didn’t become friends with and he always had a big heart for people. When he was with his children, he loved to make them laugh. Keith was always the biggest kid of them all. He will be missed by many family and friends.

Keith is survived by his daughter, Christa K. Guevara, and five sons, Anthony J. Hendon, William K. Hendon, Jr., Darryl J. Hendon, William Alex Hendon, and Roger M. Bonney; six grandchildren, Nicolas Hendon, Jazmine Guevara, Joshua Guevara, Andrew Hendon, Sara Hendon, and Ethan Hendon; his two sisters and brother, Lisa and her husband Douglas Brosch, Donna Pate, and Sam Hendon, and stepfather Cheyenne Pate.  Keith also had several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Hendon and Jane Pate, and sister Judith Edwards.

The memorial service celebrating Keith’s life will be held at 2:00pm Monday, April 16, 2018 at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home in Pasadena.
