Solomon William Ard

Solomon William Ard departed this life peacefully on October 1, 2009 to enter his eternal life with the Lord.  Solomon was born in Amite, Louisiana on May 2, 1913.  He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Olivia Dean Ard, and his son, Solomon John Ard.   He leaves to mourn, his current wife, Shirley Ard; son, Dr. Michael A. Ard; daughters-in-law, Merle J. Ard and Anita L. Ard; grandchildren,  DeEtta McDonald, Monica Ard, Angelique Gibbs, Nicole Arnold, Mickey Herbert, Solomon Shawn Ard, and Anita Ard;  and 11 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 5, 2009, at Houston Memorial Gardens, 2426 Cullen Blvd., in Pearland.
