Anna Mae “Ann” Deaton

Anna Mae “Ann” Deaton, a longtime resident of Pasadena, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Ann was born April 24, 1930 in Johnson County, Oklahoma to the late John and Mattie Elizabeth (Council) Chaney.

Ann is preceded in death by; a son, Richard “Ricky” Deaton; her four brothers, Thelbert, Robert, John D. and Billy; and four sisters, Helen Deaton, Clara Maxwell, Geraldine Hogan and Mennie Rhodes.
She is survived by a loving family; her husband of 58 years, William H. Deaton, Sr.; five children, Karen McKelvy and husband, Rick, of Pasadena, William “Bill” Deaton, Jr., of College Station, Royce “Al” Deaton, of Pasadena, Deborah Uresti and husband, Mark, of Pasadena, and Robert “Bob” Deaton, of Pasadena; sister, Lorene Nichols; sisters-in-law, Vera Chaney and Rose Mary Chaney; and her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, whom she loved to bake for.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2010, at Niday – Fairmont Funeral Home, located at 6777 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. The family will receive friends before the service, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow the service at Grand View Memorial Park, in Pasadena. Those serving as pallbearers are; Matt Deaton, James Deaton, Michael Uresti, Ryan Deaton, Mark Uresti, Mark A. Chapa, Casey Bezdek, and Aaron Terry.
