Robert “Bob” Koenig

Robert “Bob” Koenig, 87 of Friendswood, passed away March 20, 2012.  Bob was born in Houston May 30, 1924 to Simon and Eunice Koenig, and was the eldest of three boys.

Bob is preceded in death by sons David Simon and Daniel Joe, and brother, Richard Koenig.  Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean; children Darron Koenig and Darla Hogan; grandson Sean Hogan and wife Severin; and brother Dr. Rueben Koenig of Kerrville.

Bob was a man of a quiet strength, well respected, and was loved by his family and friends. He led by example.  He was a Navy Sea Bee, a member of the Mason’s and was retired from Southwestern Bell as a repair technician.  Bob was very devoted to his church and loved his volunteer job.

The Memorial Service honoring Bob’s life will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Friendswood Community Church, 2821 Parkwood Ave., Friendswood, TX 77546.
