Jake Stewart Davis

Jake Stewart Davis, 50, of Baytown, beloved partner, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, died May 28, 2012 in a fall at home. Jake is survived by his loving partner of 21 years, Lori Brewer, daughter Emily Davis (LaPorte), mother Velma Roppolo (Deer Park), father Wayne Davis and his wife Anita (Clear Lake City), brother Michael Davis (Deer Park), aunt and uncle, Linda and Howard McCollum (West University Place), first cousins Jeff and Julie Arrendell (Arlington), Paul and Kelly Arrendell (FaIr Oaks Ranch), Jennifer and Matt Alexander (Round Rock), a large extended family and a lifetime of friends.
Jake was a warm and loving man, who was known for his generous spirit and kind heart. He was a skilled rigger and crane operator. He worked most recently as a crane operations foreman for Austin Industrial at Lyondell Chemical. He worked hard and conscientiously and always gave his best. Jake was a cancer survivor, who endured his illness and treatment with great courage. He will always be missed and remembered with much love.
Friends and family are cordially invited to a visitation from five-thirty until seven-thirty in the evening on Thursday, the thirty-first of May, at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home, 6777 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, TX 77505. The celebration of Jake’s life will commence at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the first of June, in the Chapel of Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Grandview Memorial Park and Cemetery.
