Mary Louise Rosson

Mary Louise Rosson went home to be with her Lord on June 3, 2012 at the age of 87 in Houston, Texas while surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 12, 1925 in Olds Township, North Carolina to Mary Jane (May) and Walter Jasper Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Marion Rosson, Jr., her parents, and her three brothers, William, Walter and Milton.
Since her husband was in the military, Louise’s family lived in many states including North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Kansas; finally moving to Texas in 1963. She worked in the restaurant industry for many years in the Houston area. Due to her caring and gracious nature, some of her favorite pastimes were cooking for her family, spending quality time with loved ones and spoiling her grand- and great-grandchildren.
Mary Louise is survived by her children Marvin Wells, Frank Evans and wife Barbara, Sharon Gail Thompson and husband Charlie; grandchildren Sylvia Starling (and mother Paula Terry), Frankie Evans, Lori Evans, Nathan Thompson, Leslie Thompson, Kimberly Hawkins, Damon Masteller; and great-grandchildren Lauren, Cooper, Kinley, Jakob and Lilly. She is also survived by her aunt Ada Turner, beloved sisters-in-law Bessie Evans and Rachel Burroughs and numerous friends and relatives.
The family would like to thank Dr. Quraishi, his staff, and the 3rd floor nurses at Bayshore Medical Center – who became Mary’s friends – for their kindness and gentle care.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 5th with the funeral service at 10:00am, Wednesday, June 6th, both to be held at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
