David Russell Goodhue

David Russell Goodhue, 74, died tragically on Sunday, July 29, 2012, in Houston, Texas. David was born on June 5, 1938 in Houston, TX. He served in the United States Army June 6, 1955 – June 5, 1958 and continued on in the Reserves until 1963.

David was preceded in death by his father Harold James Goodhue, and his mother Annette Jackson. He is survived by his daughter Davie Nell Hatch whom he called Bitsy and her husband Mike of Houston, TX, her two daughters Aimee Doherty; Shawna Merchant, and son Lee Merchant; a son William Russell Goodhue whom he called Bubbie and his wife Gina of Barling, Arkansas, two daughters Mary Zeek and Theresa Burt, sons Jeremy Goodhue and Kendall Goodhue;  a daughter Elizabeth Vickery and her husband Matt of Mineola, Texas, their two daughters Amber and Nikki; a brother Jim Goodhue of Houston, Texas and his daughter Amanda Goodhue. David had nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several other family and friends.

David will be buried with full military honors at the Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at 2:30 p.m.
