Jack and Pat Niday
 

Jack & Pat NidayJohn B. “Jack” Niday, Jr. is a native Houstonian having grown up and lived in southeast Houston all of his life.  By profession a ship pilot, Jack began an ambulance service in 1959 to occupy his off time which soon grew to be the largest ambulance service in the area.  In 1961 he opened the first Niday Funeral Home in conjunction with the ambulance service.  The Houston Fire Department took over ambulance services for the city in the early 60’s and he withdrew from the ambulance business, donating a fully equipped ambulance to the City of Pearland.  Jack then concentrated on the funeral homes, at one point owning seven homes and three cemeteries in the Houston and Pearland area while still continuing as a ship pilot.  He retired as a ship pilot in 1985 after having served as president of the Houston Pilot Association for 7 terms and the Texas Pilot Association for 4 terms.

Patricia Cone “Pat” Niday is a native Houstonian having graduated from Milby High School and the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business.  She has worked in the funeral business for twenty years and graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service as a licensed funeral director.

Jack and Pat are members of Sagemont Church.

Jack has served on various bank boards, was instrumental in the construction of the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce building, a long time dream of the Chamber, and continues to be active in our community in various ways.

Our current location was opened in 2000 to continue serving the South Belt, Pasadena, Pearland, and Friendswood communities and where you can find him working daily.  Jack is committed to providing families with quality, meaningful and professional services that they deserve at a most difficult time.

  Phillip Peevey
 

Phil Peevey Phillip is a lifelong resident of Pearland and has remained active in the community. He has always been civic-minded, working through college at the Pearland Police Department as well as Pearland ISD.  After graduating, he worked as a cost engineer before entering the funeral business.

Phillip holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Houston and an Associate of Applied Science from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. He is licensed as a funeral director and embalmer as well as an insurance agent.  Phillip is well regarded for his ongoing commitment to excellence in his profession and for his pursuit of complete satisfaction from each family he serves.

Phillip is a member of Sagemont Church and has served on the Pearland ISD Board of Education.

  Trey Crespo
 

Since his childhood, Trey Crespo knew he would follow in his father and grandfather’s footsteps.  Trey, a third generation funeral professional, has devoted himself to serving his community in death care for 28 years.

Trey CrespoTrey is a lifelong resident of the Friendswood area.  He graduated from Friendswood High School in 1980 and attended Commonwealth College of Sciences.  For almost three decades, Trey has prided himself as a dedicated and gifted funeral director.  His compassion, sensitivity, and utmost professionalism provide each family he serves with peace of mind during the most difficult times in one’s life.

Trey is an active parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland.  He serves on St. Helen Parish Council and on the Liturgy Committee.  He is a Eucharistic Minister, and he is a Team Captain with the Hospitality Ministers.  Trey is also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8960 and Bishop Wendelin J. Nold Assembly #2084.

 

 

  Ray Reed
 

Ray ReedRay grew up in Sagemont, working alongside his father in their family’s air conditioning and heating business.  Ray credits his father for teaching him an awesome work ethic and to work hard for what you want.  After graduating from J. Frank Dobie High School, Ray went to the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, earning an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science.  Ray has always demonstrated dedication and passion for his profession.

In his spare time, Ray enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  They are members of Baybrook Baptist Church, where Ray plays on the church softball league.  Ray is also involved in the Motorcycle Ministry at Baybrook Baptist.

 

 

  Charlie McCollum
 

Charlie McCollumCharlie is a 30 year resident of the Pearland and Friendswood area.  A graduate of Pearland High School, he has been involved in the funeral industry since he was 18 years old. Charlie attended the University of Texas at Austin and is an active member of the International Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa.  As office manager, he is currently completing his licensure as a funeral director. Charlie also handles all of the memorial video productions which helps personalize each service.  In his spare time, Charlie enjoys working out and following college football.  Charlie is also a member of Sagemont Church.

  Eddie Carranco
 

Eddie CarrancoEddie is a native Houstonian, graduating from Jefferson Davis High School. As a funeral director assistant, Eddie enjoys helping families at their most difficult time. He also assists with advance funeral planning. Eddie is an active parishioner of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and is a member of the JFK Assembly – Knights of Columbus. He has always enjoyed volunteering and helping in the community. Because of his electrical background, Eddie is called upon frequently by family and friends for help with weekend projects and advice. In his spare time, Eddie enjoys spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren, and going out to dinner with friends.
